Roman Faith ranked #125 by NHL Central Scouting
Talented forward Roman Faith has been ranked #125 by NHL Central Scouting (EU Skaters). The young player wearing the jersey with number 79 on it has had an extremely interesting season. After a short stop in Finland, he made the Košice A-team, for which he played in 16 matches, scored 2 goals and assisted 4 times. Roman was also successful when playing for the Slovak team up to 18 years old (18 matches, 9 goals, 12 assists).
We asked Roman how he feels about the prematurely ended season.
“This season gave me a lot. My mind really opened at the Pardubice hockey tournament and then, after weighing pros and cons, I wanted a change. I don’t regret it at all and playing for Finland gave me a lot physically and also strengthened my mindset. Men’s ice hockey in Košice gave me even more as I experienced my first half-season among men, and I tried to learn as much as possible from the coach Draisaitl.”
How do you feel before the upcoming draft?
“Right now, I feel like a schoolboy, even though I’m in the draft. I can’t even tell how it’s going to be, but I was in contact with the club and my agent during the season. The only thing I’m sorry about is that I wanted to show more during the matches, but unfortunately, I can’t change that. At the moment, I can prepare myself the best that I can for the following season, and we will see what will happen. I don’t feel any special, I’m learning and practicing over and over. Nothing is guaranteed as this season wasn’t incredible, but I tried my best and I hope it all works out. I like Chicago for years, but I don’t really mind about the team in the draft. I will be really happy if any team picks me.”
We will keep our fingers crossed for Roman.
