The recent excellent performances of HC Košice players have attracted 6,087 visitors to the Steel Arena on Friday to see a match with the current leader of the chart - Trenčín.    The fans of HC Košice saw an excellent match, where our hockey-players were better and won 5 to 1.  In addition, they could witness a first goal of the young forward Filip Vrábel in the senior league who becomes historically a 212th shooter of the hockey club in Košice. 

HC Košice players were very active from the beginning and pushed themselves toward the goal-keeper from Trenčín - Michal Valenta. He was able to keep a zero score only till 2:53 when Filip Vrábeľ scored by his backhand shot. It was a premier goal for the 21-year old player from HC Košice academy in his 36th match in Košice.   Immediately after match he said: „I never had such feelings before, so euphoria from the goal still persists.“ These events are always registered by the club cashiers and forward with number 86 on his back knows it very well.   "Euro 100, but never mind. This money is intended for good purpose!“, a successful shooter of the first goal of HC Košice on Friday added with smile. And even though he was close to the second one, we can be very satisfied with his performance. „Of course, we are going from match to match. With today performance in the on-coming matches and with fulfillment of instructions we will be successful,“  the forward Filip Vrábeľ said on the end of interview.

This match against Dukla Trenčín was extraordinary also for the forward in the first five men unit.  He was able to score two times in this match after passes if the captain - Ladislav Nagy. The tall forward from Košice appreciates contribution of this player in the unit. "We want to help to Laco. We are fighting as a five men unit, we are trying to be productive and to contribute to the success of the team. We are happy because of these goals and it doesn´t matter if we are playing with leader of the chart or anyone else“ His colleague from the forward line Peter Boltun was very close to additional goal but he was not able to find a correct "receipt" how to overcome the goal-keeper from Dukla Trenčín - Michal Valenta. However, the author of two goals Tomáš Hričina is not ready to give him any advice. "I´m not a shooter, regardless to today 2 goals. So it is very difficult to give him any advice. Peter was trying hard but you need luck too.“ It seems that KC Košice found a good shape but Tomáš Hričina is not so optimistic: "Hockey is a match of mistakes, so you can always find some minor one. However, we will try to minimize our mistakes and to play a top quality hockey and to score the goals to be successful."

In addition, an excellent atmosphere in the Arena was pushing players from HC Košice forward.  Stands and seats were almost full and fans of HC Košice didn´t hesitate to "sacrifice" their vocal chords for their favorites.   "We could feel a support of spectators and we appreciate their help. We also hope that they will arrive in such a number next time to push us forward.  And we will try to repay with excellent performance as today - in the match against Trenčín“ the 27-year old wind forward of HC Košice Tomáš Hričina added at the conclusion.
