Steelers' offense strengthened by Czech forward David Květoň
After the break due to representational performance, a new support is coming to the team of HC Košice. David Květoň, 31 years old player from the Czech Republic, has recently signed the contract with the club.
David has transferred to our team from the Czech Extraleague team HC Oceláři Třinec, where he was hosting in Frýdek-Místek. He was born in Nový Jičín, where he also played in the youth team. In 2006, New York Rangers drafted the club Nový Jičín. Throughout his youth, David was regularly playing in the representation categories, and later on he joined the senior representation team of the Czech Republic, where he played 18 times overall. David has spent most of his professional career in the Czech Extraleague, where he was acquiring valuable experience throughout almost 600 matches. In those 600 matches, he gained 305 points, which makes it more than a half point per match. In the season 2010/2011, thanks to David, Třinec won a championship title. David will once again become the Steeler, except that this time, he will play for our club.
Sports manager of HC Košice, Jan Šťastný: "I know David Květoň from the Czech Extraleague, he is the forward who can also play the position of left and right wing. Moreover, we believe that his professional hockey skills, vigour, skating and mainly his shooting skills will strengthen our offensive line formed by Majdan, Chovan, Haščák."
For David Květoň, the contract is valid until the end of the current season. We will bring you his impressions of signing the contract through the accredited media.
We welcome David in our team, and we wish him good luck and success in the season!
