Do Košíc prichádza slovenský reprezentant Mário Lunter
28-ročný rodák z Banskej Bystrice v tomto roku absolvoval už svoje tretie majstrovstvá sveta a je trojnásobným majstrom Slovenska. Okrem domácej ligy si v sezóne 2018-2019 vyskúšal aj KHL a po troch sezónach v drese Mladej Boleslavy sa tento krídelník vracia z Čiech späť na Slovensko.
Mário Lunter: „Pre Košice som sa rozhodol kvôli Gabimu, jeho ľudskosti a prístupu pri riešení zmluvy. Samozrejme, Košice sa mi ako klub a mesto páčia, trochu som ich spoznal počas domácich majstrovstiev sveta. Hala krásna, super fanúšikovia a tréner, s ktorým sa navzájom poznáme, takže mi to celé dávalo najväčší zmysel. Teším sa na všetkých spoluhráčov, predovšetkým na Mareka Bartánusa, ktorého veľmi dobre poznám a ktorý mi okrem iného povedal, že v šatni je skvelá partia. To je pre hokej veľmi dôležité. Ligu majstrov som už hral. Budú to kvalitné zápasy a myslím, že nás poriadne preveria. Bude to o stupeň rýchlejšie, ale v každom zápase do toho dáme všetko. Verím, že budeme úspešní, a tak ako vedenia aj fanúšikovia budú spokojní s našimi výkonmi.“

Košickú ofenzívu posilní Tomáš Zigo
Odchovanec Banskej Bystrice odohral posledné štyri sezóny v drese Slovana Bratislava, v drese ktorého získal svoj v poradí tretí majstrovský titul. 31-ročný krídelník pôsobil okrem slovenskej ligy aj v KHL, českých kluboch Mountfield HK a HC Slavia Praha a je dvojnásobným účastníkom majstrovstiev sveta.
Tomáš Zigo: „Košice sú pre mňa jednym z top klubov na Slovensku a potvrdili to tento rok, keď vyhrali titul. Som veľmi rád, že som dostal ponuku a možnosť hrať za klub, ktorý má veľkú históriu, zázemie a veľa fanúšikov. Teším sa na spoluprácu Paťom Lamperom, keďže sme spolu vyrastali v Banskej Bystrici a samozrejme na všetkých spoluhráčov. Veľkou výzvou bude Champions hockey league, od ktorej očakávam špičkové rýchle zápasy proti najlepším tímom Európy. Hráči aj fanúšikovia sa majú na čo tešiť. Verím, že budeme úspešní a ľudia, ktorí prídu na zápasy uvidia z našej strany kvalitný hokej.“

Produktívny krídelník dosiahol v minulej sezóne impozantné štatistiky a skvele zapadol do kabíny. Tešíme sa, že ho uvidíme na ľade v košickom drese aj v budúcej sezóne.
Hunter Fejes: „Som veľmi rád, že ostávam v Košiciach. Je to prvotriedna organizácia s najlepšími fanúšikmi v lige. Neviem sa dočkať, kedy budem opäť so spoluhráčmi a vytvárať ďalšie krásne spomienky pre toto mesto.“

Slovak representant Mário Lunter comes to Košice
For a 28-year-old from Banská Bystrica, this year marked his third appearance at Ice Hockey World Championship. He is a three-time Slovak champion, as well. Apart from the Slovak league, he also played KHL in the 2018-2019 season, and after three seasons in the jersey of Mladá Boleslav, this winger returns from Czechia back to Slovakia.
Mário Lunter: “I decided on Košice because of Gabi, his humanity and approach to dealing with the contract. Of course, I like Košice as a club and as a city, I got to know it during the home International Hockey World Championship. Beautiful arena, great fans, and a coach with whom we know each other, so the whole thing made the most sense to me. I am looking forward to all my teammates, mainly Marek Bartánus whom I know very well and who told me, besides other things, there is an amazing group in the locker room. That is very important for hockey. I have played Champions Hockey League, already. They will be quality games and I think they will test us greatly. It will be a level faster, but we will give it our all in all the games. I believe we will be successful, and both the organization and fans will be proud of our performance.”

Košice offensive will strengthen Tomáš Zigo
This offspring of Banská Bystrica has played the last four seasons for Slovan Bratislava and in its jersey, he has achieved his third championship title. The 31-year-old winger has, apart from the Slovak league, played in KHL, Czech clubs Mountfield HK and HC Slavia Praha, and is a two-time participant of the International Hockey World Championship.
Tomáš Zigo: “For me, Košice is one of the top Slovak clubs and it confirmed it this year when it won the title. I am very happy to get an offer and opportunity to play for the club with such great history, background, and fans. I am looking forward to cooperating with Paťo Lamper since we have grown up together in Banská Bystrica and of course all the other teammates. The Champions Hockey League will be a big challenge of which I expect top-notch, fast-paced games against the best European teams. Players and fans have much to be excited about. I believe we will be successful and people watching the games will observe a quality hockey on our side.”

Hunter Fejes continues in the Steelers’ jersey
The productive winger has achieved impressive statistics in the last season and has fit into the team amazingly. We are happy we get to see him on ice in Košice’s jersey in the upcoming season, too.
